Back to the kiddos- We had our Veteran's Day celebration yesterday and I had my choir sing two songs. Proud of Our Veterans and Thankful for the U.S.A.
I was really excited about Proud of Our Veterans because I was able to add a few sign language gestures for certain words. We learned "Thank you", "Proud", and "Veteran". It was a great experience for myself and the kids.
Now that Veteran's Day is over, I begin Christmas music on Friday. I feel like the turkey never gets his day. November is so short in comparison to the month of October. The kids don't really have time to learn thanksgiving songs. I'll attempt to squeeze in as much turkey time as possible, while preparing for our Christmas Program.
1) Even the most extrovert, talkative choir kids can get stage fright.
2) It's ok to use folders for a concert if your kids need it to help their memory.
3) Veteran's Day celebrations make me emotional.
Musically yours,
Miss Reyna
